Thatch End is a pretty cottage on the edge of the chatsworth estate in the village of Baslow. It is in easy walking distance of shops/pubs/cafes and Chatsworth house. The kitchen was well equipped and the rooms comfortable. We will definitely be back.

− We tripped a fuse, there wasnt any info about the fue box in the welcome pack, so took a while to locate the fuse box.

Delightful cottage in perfect location

Perfect location, quiet, clean and comfortable and easy to navigate everything. Best of British in terms of character and functionality: exposed beams and stonework but also well carpeted and great bathrooms. Loved the babbling brook and lack of traffic & noise, this was a perfect escape in the kind of cottage anyone with taste would want.

− This was always evident from the photos but the small bedroom with bunk beds is only really suitable for children - adult in our group found it claustrophobic on the bottom bunk as unable to sit up without hitting head and top bunk mattress not same thickness as double one below - again, perfect for children though or very small adult!
