I loved the house, the location and Diego was great.

− I didnt like how dark it was in the house even with the lights on. I hated the hot water issue. We had to get wet turn off he water soap up then rinse. The hot water would never work if there were more people in the house.

Excellent beach house in a very convenient location, close to the port and about a 10-minute walk from the center of Holbox. The house features a large pool, very comfortable beds, and is set in a quiet and peaceful area (unlike many places in the town center), which allowed us to rest and sleep extremely well. Its proximity to the city center meant we could truly enjoy the best of both worlds. But without a doubt, the highlight of our trip to Holbox was meeting the hosts. They are some of the kindest, most welcoming, and generous people we’ve ever met. A wonderful family who made us feel completely at home from the very first moment. We would highly recommend this place.

Julie and Diego were excellent hosts. We asked where to get fresh fish and she helped us and delivered the fish personally. There was a broken door handle and they came quickly to fix it. They offered many ideas for eating out and taxi services if we needed. They went out of their way to make sure they were available for any questions we had.

− The description was a bit misleading. The hot tub was not located by the pool; instead, it was a jacuzzi tub inside one of the upstairs bedrooms. Since we were traveling with kids, the lack of lamps or bedside tables made bedtime less comfortable. Several amenities listed were either not on the property or not found, such as toiletries, a mosquito net, and hand towels. We felt the price was high given these missing details. We had hoped to cook in the kitchen, but it was missing many basics (for example, there were only two soup/cereal bowls, and the lighter was so small that it made lighting the gas stove difficult). The property is in a slightly less desirable area near the marina, though it’s an easy 1 km walk to the main part of town.

Good stay. House was clean and comfortable. Would pick a different location next time.

Spacious house and the outdoor area was nice. Host was very helpful.

− Location. We knew it was a little off the beaten path but it was in a less desirable location than we thought. Very run down area though the property itself was nice.
