Nice views and location, but poor communication, hidden fees and unresolved deposit issues ruined the experience.

Beautiful views from the higher floors, spacious rooms and a good location close to shops. The shuttle service to the beach was useful.

− Poor communication from staff throughout the stay. My room booking was changed without proper explanation and I was charged a minibar deposit for a room I never requested. After being moved to another room without a minibar, the deposit was still not refunded. Guests should also be aware of the mandatory resort/beach fee before booking this property, we only used once! the beach is not located at the hotel and requires a shuttle service 2 mins u can just walk across the bridge 10mins. I also received written approval for a 12:30 late checkout, but reception later tried to tell me checkout was 12:00 and seemed confused about their own confirmation. The location and views at Beachwalk Resort are beautiful and the rooms are spacious, however there were several issues during my stay that left me disappointed and I personally would not stay here again. Firstly, my original booking was changed without proper communication. I specifically booked a room with two separate beds and a kitchenette, but when I arrived I was initially given a king bed room instead. After raising the issue, I was moved to another room on a higher floor, which I appreciated, however this was also done without properly explaining everything. One major issue was the minibar security deposit. I never requested a room with a minibar in the first place, yet I was charged a minibar security deposit at check-in. When they later moved me to a different room which DID NOT even contain a minibar, the deposit should automatically have been refunded back to my account immediately, but it still has not been returned. Another thing guests should be aware of is the mandatory resort/beach fee. The beach itself is NOT located at the hotel property. You are required to use a shuttle service to access the beach area, yet the resort fee is still mandatory whether you use the facilities or not. This should be made much clearer before booking.

I loved the view! U can see the ocean as well! Was nice and clean! Communication was smooth! Beds were supper comfy! Patio heaven!

− I like the room pitch black like a hotel. And light from the outside was peaking in. And the $30 a day for pool and gym room, which I didn't use..
