− Only problem was that the TV wasn't working properly, but the staff sorted the problem by transferring us to a new room.
Pleasant enough for an overnight stay in the Thornbury area
9.0Absolutely stunning old manor house, with AC in all the rooms, restaurant and bar on site. Plenty of parking, and a great location for working in the Thornbury area - just off the M5 too.
− The staff serving dinner weren't the warmest, really friendly receptionist and bar man, but the waitress I had serving dinner didn't seem enthusiastic about having to work that day (a bit surly). The menu is VERY limited, had 3 options for each course, and although very tasty, was pretty basic.
Could do better.

− Noisy extraction fan in bathroom affected my sleep. Dusty back of tv which was over the bed. I only saw this because the tv didn’t work. Bar area soulless. Shower unit too small.

10.0It's a beautiful building set in lovely grounds with really friendly staff. Even though you have easy access to the motorway you can barely hear it from the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was also included which is always a bonus and they had a great selection. Continental to start with a cooked breakfast from 7:30/8. The dinner and drinks in the evening were tasty and reasonably priced and there was outdoor seating where you could watch cows grazing in the field. I would absolutely recommend staying here
