Great

Quiet and peaceful, well equipped for our family of 4. We loved the birdsong and watching the rabbits. Our neighbours in the other 2 chalets were also really considerate. The property was close to some great days out: Clearwell caves, Forest of Dean sculpture trail, May Hill walk, Goodrich castle, Puzzlewood, Symonds Yat, Ross-on-Wye etc. the old Dairy tearoom did a great afternoon tea! I would have liked to have tried the Yew Tree pub in Longhope too.

The pub had closed down and part of the reason we’d booked was on the strength of the reviews of the pub. The huge coop in Newent did Cook food though so self catering wasn’t too bad.

Lovely Lodge & Location

The lodge and location are great Photos didn't do it justice. Much roomier than it appears.

TV was tricky to operate. Instructions for this and the fire would have been useful.

Serene, quiet and calm!

10.0

It’s such a lovely warm and cosy place to stay. In the middle of nowhere and all you can hear are the birds in the morning. We had 3 rabbits that came out this time around which was lovely. Alison was brilliant too. Very welcoming and accommodating. The lodge is quickly becoming our home away from home!

I can’t think of a single thing that we didn’t like. We LOVED the property. So much so this was our second trip and we’ve booked our third before we even left!
