Poor cleanliness at check-in and baseless accusations after check-out
1.0− We rented these apartments for a few days, but the overall experience was extremely negative. Condition at check-in: The apartment was poorly cleaned and had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, even though the description explicitly stated it was a 'non-smoking' unit. Airing the place out did not help. Misinformation: The check-in instructions provided an incorrect code for the trash disposal area. We had to waste time asking neighbors for help. Unfounded claims: Six hours after we checked out, the agent contacted us claiming we had damaged the baseboards (they were swollen and appeared gnawed). We do not have any pets, and we stayed there with our children, who obviously could not have 'chewed' on the baseboards. It is clear that the damage is old, caused by water/moisture long before our stay. Our contribution: Despite the poor cleaning we encountered upon arrival, we left the apartment in perfect order: we took out all the trash, washed the dishes, and made the beds. It is very disappointing to receive such baseless accusations after we treated the property so carefully. I strongly advise against dealing with this agent if you want to avoid being blamed for pre-existing damages.
