Lovely family holiday in comfy cottage

Lovely ccttage with a rustic, homely feel and enough space for our family of 7 (actually only 6 in the end!). Lovely sized rooms and comfy beds. The kitchen was also a good size and it had all the crockery and tools we needed during our stay. The shower in the shower room cubicle upstairs was definitely not a power shower but it worked. Unfortunately, the back garden was not fenced off and since the owners (who lives next door) made it clear that they needed their privacy, we felt unable to use that space as the children just wouldn’t have understood the boundaries without clear markings. Therefore we only used the front garden which is much smaller (and also not enclosed but we were able to improvise with strategically placed garden furniture) but still very nice.

− As mentioned, it would have been a huge benefit for us and our children if the garden area(s) had been enclosed/fenced off. The fridge was just big enough for us to manage (with the help of a cool box) but perhaps would be a little small with more guests/older children? Also, just a small point, but it would also have been nice to have a few basics in the kitchen, such as salt, pepper + cooking oil. As it was, we simply placed an order which was delivered quickly but … always a shame when you have to double up on the things you have plenty off at home.
