Comfy place, lousy soundproofing
7.0This property has lots of pluses but I would not stay again. For the pluses... Location is hard to beat, just a few blocks from Parque Libertad. The whole property is extremely clean and well-maintained. The decor, in the room and in the courtyard, creates a very nice ambiance. Sitting in the courtyard is very peaceful. Friendly staff.
− I stayed in the "Roble" room, which was lovely inside, though like most rooms there's no window, even to the courtyard. The reason I would not stay again was the soundproofing, it was DISMAL. There was a noisy kid in the room adjacent and you could hear him directly through the wall. His yelling was barely muffled and you could make out what he was saying. At least he seemingly went to bed early. Perhaps other rooms have thicker walls but for the Roble room, just awful. A couple other things... there is no coffee in the room or offered anywhere in the facility. I guess this goes along with the "No Food Or Drink" sign in the room (quite tacky, it's your hotel room not a clothing store). You have to buzz in to enter the hotel, they do not provided a gate key.

10.0Ana the host was incredibly helpful in more ways than around the hostel! She was very knowledgeable about her city (places to visit, walk around in, eat at, etc) and was especially helpful in coordinating me with a hiking guide for Vulcan Santa Ana. I'm very grateful for her.
