Lejligheden ligger i et stille og roligt kvarter med kun 5-10 minutters gang til den gamle bydel med adskillige caféer og restauranter. Der er bager og supermarked få indenfor minutters gang. Lejligheden er næsten ny og lækkert indrettet og der er pænt rent over det hele. Værten svarer hurtigt på henvendelser. Detmold var på alle et meget behageligt bekendtskab med en dejlig gammel bydel og seværdigheder i nærheden — for eksempel er der kun 12 minutters kørsel til Teutoburgerskoven med Externsteine og vandremuligheder.

Alles war großzügig, hell, neu, zweckmäßig und dennoch wohnlich. Die Organisation einfach, unkompliziert. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
− Die Lage ist optisch kein Highlight, aber es ist nah am Park, nah am Bahnhof. Wir wollten nur übernachten und das war perfekt!
