A peaceful base to explore this great city.
8.0A delightful traditional Riad on the edge of the medina. Splendid room overlooking the courtyard with a roof terrace on the next floor affording spectacular views over Fez. The staff were particularly helpful and knowledgeable.
− Antiquated plumbing with a long wait for hot water! Once we knew there was hot water to be had, this was not a problem.

A beautiful riad but not the best experience overall.
7.0Location was great--walking distance to almost everything. The room was very spacious. Rooftop had a nice view but there was always someone there when we went up so not a private space.
− The room was a little worn. Breakfast was just OK--not as good as any of the other riads we stayed at. We reserved a private medina tour through them and it was a terrible experience. The guide was almost uninterested in us, took a lot of phone calls while with us, gave us bad information about certain sites, took us to A LOT of stores where he obviously would be getting kickbacks even after we told him we didn't want to do any shopping. Then we had to pay extra for a car and driver to take use to around the outside of the medina which should have been included. When we told the riad staff how unhappy and disappointed we were in the tour, they said they had spoken to the tour guide and he disagreed with what we had said. That experience left a very sour taste in our mouth. Our room had a window facing the back of the riad and there were tons of roosters/chickens there that crowed all night long.
