Lovely stay for a short time

The location is perfect, the host was very nice and helpful, there is private parking available and air conditioning helps with the humidity and heat. The kitchen is well stocked and the bed is comfortable. The dog was a sweet surprise visit in the morning. 🩶

− It's very humid, there is only one small window you can keep open during the night (the rest are doors) and the AC is right above the bed, so it doesn't feel good when you sleep.

Location. On the Main Street along the malecon with a view of the boats moored in the lagoon. A couple of blocks from the fruit market, Mercado, pharmacy, and various restaurants. Hosts generous and accommodating.

Very poor experience

− On arrival, the room was fine, although very humid. Unfortunately, on returning after dinner, during heaving rain, we found water was leaking through the ceiling onto the floor and more concerning, onto the television. We called and messaged the property repeatedly over the course of an hour with no response, and eventually had to book a room at a different hotel. 5 weeks later, Palomar Villas is still refusing to refund the money I paid for a room that was uninhabitable. I have also never had a response from them to my messages to the WhatsApp number given to us at the hotel.
