Adequate and close to amenities.
5.0The location was good - a steep hill walk down to the bridge and across into town and on to the sea front. (10-15mins ish on average) The beds were comfortable. Basic kitchen facilities allowed for cooking within the apartment as needed. The shower was fairly powerful.
− Access is via steep stairs up from the parking space (down a hillside track into wooded area), or walking up the hill on the main road, then down some stairs without railing (not the safest with children.) The apartment wasn’t especially well cleaned - cobwebs and spiders in rooms throughout, though surfaces were mostly clean. No WiFi/ internet. There are a collection of DVDs at least for the living-room tv. The television in the kids bedroom didn’t work at all - they were so excited when they saw it, but it’s just there for show, sadly. There was no lightbulb in the middle light in the livingroom. Not a problem, but the overall lack of ambient lights throughout, mean you do rely on the overhead lighting. Very dated decor.

6.0General condition was excellant. Large kitchen and lounge well furnished.
− Very poor access from polean lane. After the first night we parked in millpool car park, although walk uphill was exhausting it was much safer than polean lane access.
BE VERY CAREFUL
4.0− We were under the impression that we would be staying in a cottage with parking next to the property. How wrong we were. It was a flat on the 3rd floor. Only accessible by 51 very steep and wobbly steps. I have serious mobility issues and was only made aware of this 7 days before and couldn't cancel as I would lose my payment. The flat itself wasn't very nice. Torn furniture, filthy windows, broken cupboards, rusty radiators, a hole in the duvet. Again, outside was filthy. To get to our car from the top road you had to climb up a makeshift breeze block steps, no handrails. All in all, a total disappointment. There was even a stack of post which must of belonged to the owners.
Everything else was amazing
