Heaven in Fornalutx

Such a beautiful property right in the centre of Fornalutx. The whole stay was perfect and incredibly peaceful. The view from the bedrooms and terrace is mesmerising. The house itself has everything you need and is very comfortable. Aircon in all of the rooms is a real bonus and kept the property very cool in extreme heat. Marga was very responsive and available throughout the stay whenever we needed anything. If you're looking for somewhere very special in Fornalutx to travel with a partner or friend, this is hard to beat.

Gute Betten und gute Aussicht. Terrasse und Pool.

− Wir haben die Unterkunft gebucht, weil wir 2 Zimmer mit eigenem Bad und WC wollten. Eine Toilette war aber die ganze Woche defekt und meine Freundin musste mit einem Wassereimer nachspülen. Nach Reklamation am 1. Tag kam zwei Tage später der Klempner und danach ging die Spülung genau 1x. Bei erneuter Reklamation wurde uns freigestellt, das Haus zu verlassen und uns etwas anderes zu suchen. Begründet wurde das Ganze, es gäbe zu wenig Wasserdruck im ganzen Dorf (was zusätzlich hinzukam), aber das war nicht der wahre Grund, sondern die Toilettenspülung war schlicht und einfach kaputt und das wurde bis zum Schluss nicht zugegeben. Außerdem ist die Terrasse und der Pool einsehbar und insgesamt sehr hellhörig, d.h. man hört jedes Wort und jedes Geräusch von Außen.

− The bedrooms are close together with sliding doors and a glass cubicle for the ‘bathroom’ I could hear everything in the other bedroom even with the doors shut. There were only 2 of us but if there were 4 (which is how the property is sold) the kitchen equipment would be limiting and you’d be forever washing up. The key to lock the front door took as lot of effort to get it to lock.

Spending

− Our experience at Can Palou was very disappointing. We booked for 2 adults and 1 toddler (1,5 years old) and asked for a crib and high chair. When we arrived to the property we had a lot of bad surprises: the flat was FULL of stairs without any kids protection, which no photos of the property showed; there was no crib nor high chair; the flat was very poorly cleaned, we found plenty of sand under the carpets. The most serious issue of all were the stairs, which made it impossible for us to relax when indoor, as our toddler obviously wanted to climb the stairs all the time and we couldn’t leave her alone. What’s even worse is that we later found out that the property in theory has a “no kids policy”, hence they should not have accepted our reservation in the first place (they probably did it to maximize their profit). When we raised this serious safety issue with the property they didn’t have any solution for us. Hence we had no choice than moving to another accommodation, which was very expensive due to the high season (Christmas) period. We promptly informed the property of our decision so they could easily rent the flat again and asked to be refunded for the nights we ended up not spending there. They refused to make any step in our direction and to refund us of any money. Overall: very little accommodating owner, dirty property and, above all, UNSAFE for kids.
