7.0Great scenery, very peaceful Friendly and humble hosts who run an amazing organisation that takes care of sick and injured animals. Awesome opportunities to feed the animals and lots of space for kids.
− As we cannot expect the owners pivot due to costs, fair warning to those arriving. 1. Resident Rat who visited us a few times during our stay, rustic for some, unnacceptable to others. 2. No ceiling above the beds, meaning constant cold breeze in the bedrooms. Uncomfortable for adults but critical issues for small kids in winter. Bring your own extra blankets, and maybe one more!
Nice location, cold and under equipped cottage.
6.0The location is pretty and in easy access of Maropeng, Sterkfontein and other attractions. In summer I imagine it could be very nice.
− The accommodation is a converted Lapa, which is sparsely furnished with no heating. It was cold. The bedding was inadequate for the cold winter temperatures. The cooking utensils and crockery and cutlery were an odd assortment that didn’t quite meet the needs of the place. With a nice fireplace, better cooking equipment, adequate bedding and blankets it could be great.
