Great for families/groups, excellent location, lack of thoughtful touches make it feel less special.
7.0The house is spacious with a great view, and literally 5 minutes walk to the blowhole and Rice Pebble Beach - and the hot tub was spectacular. The beds are comfy, as well.
− This rental could be great instead of just good - there were some cleanliness issues (greasy fingerprints on the windows and cupboards, an errant hair on the salt shaker), the salt and pepper shakers were completely empty, there was no soap in one of the bathrooms, recycle bin was full to the brim with garbage blowing about in the driveway, and no laundry detergent in the laundry area (this is the bit that really bummed me out, because who travels with laundry detergent, or wants to purchase it while on holiday?). As said, really small fixes that could have made this a perfect place to stay. This highlights the difference between a home someone is curating and renting out, and a property being managed by a company for a guaranteed tourist turnover - there's no real personal touch or thoughtfulness. Out of all of our 7 rentals in our 2 week trip in Tassie, this was the most expensive, and the least impressive.
