Let's start with the Host, Jeff. Communication was excellent with Jeff before and during the trip. Jeff responded quickly to my inquires both text and phone. He was very concerned about our stay and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The apartment was AWESOME; it actually appeared larger than the pictures online. VERY CLEAN. The apartment is in a renovated former YMCA building in the arts and theater district of downtown Winston-Salem. You are in walking distance to many restaurants, bars and local businesses. We did not prepare any meals during our four-night stay, but if we wanted, the kitchen was well appointed. Pots, pans, flatware, dishes, etc. even an air fryer. Very nice appliances. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, more than enough room for the three of us. Off the kitchen is the dining area with table and four chairs, roomy, not cramped space so you can comfortably eat. Next to the dining area is the larger living area with its eclectic decor blended with the airline/airplane theme, very inviting, homey and relaxing. The balcony was nicely decorated. We did not use because the weather was very hot during our stay. The main bedroom was huge, comfy king size bed and plenty of room to move around, an ensuite with shower and water closet. There are dressers to store your clothes as you unpack. The second bedroom, located near the entrance across from the kitchen is smaller but again, very comfy. It provided privacy for my daughter. It had a full-size bed and closet to store your clothes. In the hall next to the smaller bedroom is a full bath with shower/bathtub. Next to the bathroom is the washer and dryer closet with laundry detergent. Free parking on the weekends, but there is a parking lot directly from the building. There is a QR code on the back of the front door that you use to validate parking every 24 hours. We didn't have any problems. Will definitely stay there again.

We went to Winston-Salem to visit family. We were gone all day returning in the early evening. I wish we could have had more time to spend at the apartment to enjoy all of the amenities. So, if you decide to book, allow time to fully enjoy your stay. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Jeff, for sharing your home.

The Frequent Flyer provided all that we needed to enjoy a long weekend with my sisters.

The location is terrific, and parking was easy. The wagon was a lifesaver, and the process for getting into the building and the apartment was easy. Needing the fob to get into the building and the door code for the apartment helped us feel safe and secure.

The apartment was quiet except for someone arriving and leaving on a very loud motorcycle. I'm guessing they work at one of the nearby restaurants or bars. They arrived during the day; the noise was noticeable but fine. However, they revved their engine when they left at 2 am. Not so great, but we recognize that this is not the problem of the host.

Overall, I and my family thought the property was great for our needs/expectations and a quality value with a gracio

Great location more or less in the middle of downtown making 90% of downtown attractions, entertainment, and restaurants within walking distance. Apartment itself is eclectic, comfortable, and secure. Overall building is a remodeled historical landmark and has relatively good security measures in place.

Unfortunately, the two neighboring bars across the adjoining alley may be a nuisance for light sleepers when they leave their back doors open while taking out trash. That’s not the fault of the property, nor do I believe there is much that the property owner can do as I would imagine building HOA has made attempts to consult with bar owners. Future bookers should simply remind themselves that this is a small drawback in relation to the centralized location, and no, the disturbance is not constant throughout the evening.

It was comfortable, clean, and convenient.

We were there for a dance convention and this was only a couple blocks away. We walked easily over there. The apartment is beautiful. It had great decor and the furniture was comfortable. We slept well at night. Having a kitchen gave us the opportunity to make some of our meals instead of ordering out.

The handicap entrance was not an easy one to go in and out, but they do have one. If you are in a wheelchair by yourself, the key fob black box is up higher. Of course, this isn't anything the owner of the apartment can do since it's a building issue.
