Photos online didn't match the room we reserved
5.0The room was a good size, there was a bed and a hammock and a private bathroom. The hosts were prompt to answer us, and allowed us to the option to change to another room as the one we were given was not the one I had booked based on the photos online, however it wasn't any better as they advised us it would have no wifi signal. The location was good, close to the beach and surrounded by lots of cool restaurants and bars. Also, the hosts helped us to retrieve an item we lost in a taxi which we appreciated very much.
− The room we were given was not the one I had chosen based on the photos online. This was disappointing as I had specifically chosen the larger room with a kitchen. The room we were given was smaller with no kitchen and no view. There was a small fridge but it didn't seem to work. There wasn't much light in the room and it was above a very noisy street (vehicles, bars, dogs). There was no mirror in the bathroom. It was very basic and fine for a few nights if you are going to be out all day. We ultimately chose to book another room down the street with an amazing view of the beach, balcony, and better amenities (soaps, daily cleaning, restaurant) for a lower price. Asking around after we got there at multiple other hotels, there were many better options for similar price ranges. We didn't try to cancel our stay at this place as I didn't think we'd get any refund and didn't want to waste time. Something to note: most hotels in Mazunte don't have any glass on the windows - only screens. This makes things noisy if you're staying anywhere near a main street like Rinconcito.
Bad
1.0Nothing, nobody was there so we could not get into the room. The person responsible for getting us our room did not answer the phone and did not respond on booking.com but still took our money. We had to find another stay in Mazunte and paid double because this place refuses to refund us and says we stayed in the room. This is absolutely not true! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PLACE!! It is a scam!!
Poor
3.0Quite cheap, good location and the room is nice.
− The bar downstairs is noisy until late, then construction started before 8am every day and was very loud. The water pressure in the shower was very weak.
