No one wants to take responsibility for putting people in a bad situation. It's heartbreaking.

I thought he was nice. But I was totally wrong. Very sad.

− I am currently in the process of filing a formal complaint against Booking.com and the property owner regarding our bokking. At first, I genuinely thought the property owner, Jaime, was a decent and trustworthy person. I booked the property through Booking.com and paid in full for a two-night stay for $578.11. Booking.com sent me a confirmed reservation along with Jaime's phone number and instructions to contact him as soon as we arrived at the property. That is exactly what I did. As soon as my children and I arrived, I called Jaime. To my complete surprise, he told me that the property was already occupied. I asked how Booking.com could accept my full payment and send me a confirmed reservation if the property was not even available. Jaime apologized and told me he did not know what had happened. He then instructed me to cancel the reservation and assured me that Booking.com would notify him so he could approve my full refund. His exact reassurance to me was, “Don't worry about it. I got you.” Trusting his word, I followed his instructions and canceled the booking. I was actually very understanding and even thanked Jaime. I told him that I would keep his property in mind if we ever visited Brenham, Texas again. I did not even complain about the tremendous inconvenience the situation caused me and my kids. We had already traveled to the property and were suddenly left without the accommodation we had fully paid for and had to entirely change our plans. At the time, I simply told myself that perhaps God had a reason for it, and I surrendered the situation to Him. Days passed, and I still had not received my refund. I contacted Booking.com customer service and was told that they had attempted to contact Jaime but had been unable to reach him. I was then told that they could not refund my money. Now, no one appears willing to take responsibility. not Jaime nor booking.com. It's incredibly disappointing and heartbreaking.

The bed was very comfortable. The area was quiet and we enjoyed the fire pit. We had a friendly neighborhood dog visit, found out his name was Jesse, it was the highlight of our trip. We can't wait to go back.

Nice and quiet place outside the city, beautiful sceneries with lots of deer and wildlife. Owner was supper nice and helpful. Will definitely stay again when I'm back in town for work.
