Disaster at Christmas in Corby

The convenience of an apartment with self catering facilities.

− Confusion by 2 different information sources. I had requested and it had been approved, a check in time between 4 and 5pm. I received one email on tge telling me I was in flat 1 and how to get the access door key to the apartments and the key to flat 1, which included the code for this access to the keys. This did not include any instructions how to find the apartments and I relied on local people who were kind enough to instruct me how to find the location. Security wise it was very bad, in darkness I had to climb a dingy staircase and cross a dimly lit car park to the door, where using my phone torch I awkwardly got the keys. The entrance door to the apartments was a bad fit and was difficult to open and close. On entering flat 1 I was confronted by a pile of dirty bed linen and wet towels on the floor of the bedroom and 2 unmade beds and no fresh bed linen and towels. The heating wasn't working, except in the bathroom and I spent the night of the 24th. wearing my clothes huddled in the bare quilt on the sofa. The next morning I discovered another email in my junk folder timed at 5:29 on the 24th. informing me of my allocation to flat 2! As my check in time was between 4 and 5pm this was too late for my information. It did include better instructions of how to locate the property but didn't improve on the security risk. I moved to flat 2 on the morning of Christmas day and indeed there was bed linen on the beds and 1 towel provided. It was generally warmer in the flat but the heater stopped working in the lounge later that day and never worked again. The toilet was stained brown by limescale and there were no cleaning products to address this. I have photographs of these situations and I am considering uploading them to warn prospective clients of these downfalls.

Great location

good potential but failed in many ways

actually location is good with in town center but not easy to find. apartment is well equipped with utensils

− finding the location itself was a bit of trouble, if it said the location is the old radio station above Iceland store it would have been easier. even locals don't recognise the name of the place. if they could put their signage would be much easier as well. the acces to main entrance on rooftop could be only from the next building's stairways. no wheelchair or baby pushchair access. cleanliness is not clean. the acclaimed "professionally cleaned for your comfort" is massively failed. we have to scrub the floor and walls to feel clean. walls are dusty, sofa has some white spot stain, pillow was not washed it has a very strong sweat smell, window has bird poop stain. noisy at night due to kids gang trouble. despite the apartment entrance is from the rooftop carpark, you cannot park your car there. not clear why isn't available for guests. there's a safety deposit the management request upfront, however they not keen to give it back. I called them few times and giving me two different stories. now it is a software problem lasting already a week. ridiculous. just about two weeks now and still haven't returned my deposit and no updates from 360 midlands

Sijainti erinomainen ja kysymyksiin ja viesteihin vastattiin nopeasti. Asunto oli siistein materiaalein remontoitu. Asunnossa oli hyvä varustus astioita ja ruuanlaittovälineitä.

− Tein huoneiston varauksen elokuussa ja matkustin lokakuussa. Jo elokuussa maksoin ns ylimääräisen vakuusmaksun varauksen yhteydessä ja sen palautus kesti lopulta yli 2 viikkoa varauksen päättymisestä. Rahat olivat siis veloituksena kortilta yhteensä lähes 3 kk. Huoneiston siivouksessa oli huomauttamista, ei mitään kovin isoja puutteita, mutta esim keittiö olisi voinut olla pintojen osalta paremmin siivottu. Kattovalojen spotteja oli palanut useita kylpyhuoneesta sekä makuuhuoneesta. Olohuoneen sohvassa oli tahroja. Saimme ainoastaan yhdet isot kylpypyyhkeet, ei käsipyyhkeitä tai keittiöpyyhkeitä. Mikään näistä ei varsinaisesti vaikuttanut majoittumiseemme, mutta olisivat helposti parannettavia seikkoja majoittajan taholta.
