− My £200 security deposit has not been refunded 2 weeks after my stay with no reason why. Why I contact the property I am just getting automated responses saying it should be returned a few days after your stay.

Terrible experience – avoid if you value your money.

− I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to think twice. I was required to pay a £200 security deposit before my stay, which I paid as requested. More than three months after checking out, I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned. I have contacted the property repeatedly by email and through Booking.com, asking for an update and a refund. Initially there was some communication, but they eventually stopped responding altogether. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have received neither my money nor any explanation for the delay. The property is managed by HTS Properties, and the people I dealt with included Tayab Ahmed (the person I sent the deposit to), Justin Allawan, Vince Allawan, Geri Achecoso, and Pretzel Oledan. Unfortunately, my attempts to resolve this issue with them have been unsuccessful. The accommodation itself is not worth the stress of dealing with this situation afterward. A security deposit should be returned promptly when there are no legitimate deductions to make, and ignoring a guest for months is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here. Until this issue is resolved and my £200 deposit is refunded, I have no confidence in the way this property treats its guests.

Perfect for a short stay - close to all the amenities in Bakewell

Perfect property for a short stay in Bakewell Had all the facilities we needed for a 2 night stay Very clean and spacious

− On our first evening we noticed that one of wooden bed slats on the double bed was broken but didn’t message the owner as wasn’t sure if they were already aware of the issue. The property was uphill from the centre of Bakewell so would not be ideal for the less able

Still awaiting refund of security deposit after one month

Very nice property.

− The background checking process was intrusive. I paid the £200 security deposit and am still awaiting a refund after one calendar month. I have escalated this to Customer Service but they have so far been unable to help. I was asked to make the payment to a personal PayPal account which seemed suspicious. I asked for a business account and made the payment.

− 我们没能入住该公寓。我们已经到公寓了，老板提出要交押金200磅，这点在之前我们预定公寓后的几个月时间里从来没有提出过。而且必须要通过他指定的方式交钱，我们交现金也不行。最后双方没有达成一致，宾客找他们也不理睬，浪费了我们半天多的时间和金钱，最后只好另外找了一家酒店入住。我们真的不理解这家老板到底想干什么，为难别人也为难自己，生意也没做成，还留下不好的名声。

Not quite as luxurious as we had hoped!

Great location although be prepared for an uphill walk to it! Nice kitchen, lounge, quiet neighbourhood.

− We didn't feel that it was as luxurious as we were led to believe. The outside chairs were damaged and worn, the yard looked sad and neglected. It wasn't made clear that a car parking permit would only be for 1 car so our other car had to be parked a distance away as the whole area is permit only. There were a few items missing from the kitchen that we had expected would be provided in 'luxurious ' accommodation: a wine glass, no kitchen roll/foil etc, missing grill rail for oven tray, some of which we needed to clean first as a scrubbing pad was not supplied. The dining room table was water stained. The instruction book was out of date (wifi password wrong, no sky tv now) The checkin procedure was a pallava. I've never had to submit ID and take selfies to get access before, and also send a £200 breakage deposit in advance. Now I have to wait 14 days to get it refunded. Why? So overall not quite as luxurious as we had hoped!
