“Not as Advertised, but Staff Tried Their Best”
3.0The friendly staff is a positive, but it doesn’t outweigh the operational failures and misleading listing. “Fair” is usually for stays that had minor issues but were still mostly acceptable—this one clearly disrupted your stay
− Our stay unfortunately did not start well. When we arrived around 15:00, there was no one available to check us in, and we were informed that the owner had not communicated our booking to the staff—even though the reservation had been made on 24 January 2026. This caused confusion and delays while they confirmed our stay. Our room was also not ready at check-in time, and we were initially asked to move to a different room. We specifically booked this room because it accommodates dogs and has a bath rather than a shower, so this was not suitable. After explaining the situation (including a long 3-hour drive with unwell dogs), we had to wait an additional hour for the room to be prepared. There were also discrepancies with the advertised amenities. The room was listed as having air conditioning, but there was none installed—only a portable unit provided later that evening. The TV also did not function as expected, as it required screen casting from a phone and had no standard channels available. While the staff were friendly and did their best to assist during the stay, the overall experience was affected by noise from a nearby pump and tank system. The pump activated frequently throughout the night whenever water was used, making it difficult to sleep (as late as 2am and again from around 5am). Due to these issues, we decided to leave one day earlier than planned. While we appreciate the staff’s friendliness, the lack of preparation, inaccurate listing details, and ongoing disturbances made the stay disappointing.
