The staff at Tranquility Bay were excellent! The manager and wait staff were incredibly attentive and helpful during our stay. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the menu changed each day so there was variety for a long stay. The accommodation was comfortable and the AC was excellent.

− My friend and I were visiting to fish. Unfortunately, Sargassam was in the water and fishing was not possible. This macroalgae is prevalent in the northern summer months. If you are coming to fish, book from November to February to avoid it. Its location would be incredible for bone fishing. If you want an escape that is secluded but has excellent amenities, this is a great choice.

The name tranquility Bay suits it really well. This is a great place to operate from if you want to explore other parts

The snorkeling was great, but the restaurant was probably my favorite part of the whole day, or maybe it was the view off of the front porch of the villa. This place was fantastic.

− There in certain times of the year, the seaweed is a real nuisance, and further down shore stunk really bad, but not there at tranquility Bay, however, did cover up the beach so that you couldn’t really just walk down the beach into the ocean without crossing through a ton of seaweed. But I feel like that’s kind of priced into everything and at Tranquility Bay resort it was a smaller issue than it is at other resorts where it really stunk.

This place is realy amazing. Paradise! We received a very warm welcome from the staff after our arrival. Staff is very friendly and they made their best to meet every our wish we had. Ever and Axcel are the best guys! Especially Axcel made our stay very special. Room is very nice, with kitchen. For the transportation you can choose the van shuttle (2hours) or their own boat from San Pedro (45 minutes) for a very fair price. If you want they can arrange the stop at the supermarket and you can buy what you need. Water is available in the room for free. If you want you can eat at the restaurant. They have very good food and coctails. Prices little bit higher, but acceptable because everything is fresh and the resort is far away from the town. Beach is beautiful, with white sand. And the Barrier Reef is unbelievable! You can snorkel whole day if you want, directly from the beach. There are beautiful corals on the right/south side of the reef. We have seen dolphins on the reef, nurse sharks, eagle rays, sting rays, lobsters, puffer fishes, moon jelly fish, squids, cuttlefish, and a lots of other fishes. Beautiful place to stay for holiday, one od the best places we have visited.

Le personnel était très sympathique. La chambre était vraiment propre et le lit confortable. Comme nous étions en face de la barrière de corail, nous avons pu faire plusieurs plongées en apnée, malgré l’arrivée des sargasses.

− Nous avons eu de la difficulté à nous rendre à l’établissement, car les chauffeurs de taxi nous disaient que du water taxi au resort, ça prenait 2 heures et que la route était très mauvaise. Ils nous chargeaient 150 USD pour nous y rendre. Cependant, ça n’a pris qu’une heure, et la route était belle.

Snorkeling to the barrier reef from the beach. The eagle rays. No need for excursions. The people. The seafood. Napping in the hammocks. The bird walks. The sunrises. The pelicans and the frigate birds. Did I mention snorkeling to the reef from the beach? The people.

− Sargassum was starting to pile up. It’s all over the Caribbean.
