A Good option for travellers using Harwich
9.0I didn't know what to expect as we arrived. I had used the Premier Inn on all my previous visits to Harwich, en route to the Ferry. However, this time availability and price put it out of reach for us, so I decided to try somewhere else. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Tulip Hotel. Parking was very secure. The room was clean and had everything one wanted for a night. It was quiet and comfortable. The room was small, and the bathroom tiny, but OK for our needs. Coffee and tea provided. Importantly, at a reasonable price.
− Our only problem was that we were unable to get the water temperature right in the shower in OUR Bathroom. It was too hot to use. Had we not been leaving very early I would have discussed this with the staff. Perhaps we were doing something wrong, but I couldn't see what. I doubt that this would be a problem going forward, As I say, it might have been us at fault.
