It was a memorable trip. Would stay again, the castle is definitely a bucket list experience.
8.0There was a women who came each morning and made coffee and checked in us, she lived up the road. The host was accessible on WhatsApp and spoke English. The property is secluded in a small town which is exactly what we wanted. The grounds are beautiful, the pool well maintained and was amazing especially in the heat wave they had in the summer. The house was beautiful. It was overall a great experience
− First off the castle is beautiful. I understand we're out in the country and we will have bugs and geckos. I understand that the house is over 100yrs old. But the cleanliness of the place isn't the best. The dust in some rooms were an inch thick. And the laundry room looked like a hurricane ran thru it. It does need a coffee machine, as the one they have is a little white 6cup machine that's stained, but she made us coffee in it every morning and it was a good cup of coffee lol. Also note; that some sites list that the house has air condition. It doesn't, there are fans in every room. None of these small details would deter me from coming back again after all it's a castle...once upon a time they didn't have bathrooms or electricity in it.
