Nel contesto a tratti desertico e wild di Nusa Penida questa struttura è una perla di accuratezza, gentilezza e bellezza. A Hidden Paradise in Nusa Penida

Our stay at Semaya Beach Resort was nothing short of amazing. If you're looking for a peaceful escape away from the crowds, this resort is truly a hidden gem on the island. We booked the room with a private pool and ocean view, and it was absolutely worth it. The panoramic view was breathtaking, especially during sunrise as the sun slowly emerged over the mountains. We found ourselves spending hours by the pool and soaking in the bathtub, simply enjoying the stunning scenery and peaceful atmosphere. Everything you also need in a room were available. The resort's location is perfect for those who want privacy while still being close to some of Nusa Penida's most iconic attractions. It's just a short drive to Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach, making it an excellent base for exploring the eastern side of the island. The food exceeded our expectations—every meal we had was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. We'd also like to give a special thanks to Anom, whose warm hospitality and attentiveness made our stay even more memorable. The entire staff were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing.

− One thing to note is that the resort is surrounded by lush greenery and nature, so it's normal to encounter a few insects and occasional geckos. For us, this was simply part of the natural environment and didn't affect our stay at all.

If you want a peaceful quiet relaxing place to stay this is it. The resort is very pretty with a beautiful outlook across the ocean. Our villa with pool was gorgeous. The bathroom is possibly the loveliest you see! The pictures don’t do the villa justice. The meals here very good. Even thought there are 2 big swimming pools do yourself a favour and have a villa with private pool - you won’t regret it.

− It’s not that I didn’t like it as such but it very isolated and there is nowhere to walk to for a meal outside of the resort. Nusa Penida is a large island that is quite undeveloped so it takes a while to get around (on mostly poor roads)

An excellent place to stay if you wish be away from the crowd.. make sure you book the ocean front villa .

The hotel’s design in really nice, it has been opened for less than two years so everything is still in very good condition. We had the Ocean View Villa with Private Pool which I highly recommend - it is spacious, the infinity pool is a good size, the panoramic ocean view was just amazing, the terrace between the room and the pool is equipped with a table, two chairs and a daybed, the bed is huge, and the open bathroom is wonderful (it has a large freestanding bathtub with ocean views, good water pressure in the shower, modern fixtures and high quality amenities that smell amazing!). In the room you will also find a Nespresso machine and they provide complimentary coffee capsules daily. The room also comes with a decent sized dressing area and a make-up table & it’s very clean. All considered, we were more than satisfied with the room and I don’t think you can find a better accommodation anywhere at this price. The villas are up on the hill so I think they all have great views, and the hotel provides an electric shuttle and they are more than happy to take you up and down the hill as many times as you need, but we chose to walk most of the time. The infinity pools are beautiful - they have 2 - one is near the reception and main restaurant, right next to the sea, equipped with comfortable daybeds and sun loungers, and the other one is a brand new one that they are just starting to operate, high on the hill, with expansive ocean views. The food we had was tasty and of good quality. Last but not least, the hotel’s staff are more than welcoming, all very nice, happy to help with anything you ask them for and willing to make your stay as memorable as possible.

− There are no real negatives. You should take into consideration the location - it is about 45 minutes away by car from the harbor and 35 minutes away from Diamond beach (which is close considering the location of the beach - we left the hotel at 05:45 and were able to catch the sunrise from there - quite spectacular). We also went scuba diving and the best diving centers are also close to the harbor, so also a 40-50 minutes drive away. There are also some small improvements that they could make to get even closer to perfection, like better training of the staff working at the bar and the restaurant (they were boasting good intentions, but it was quite obvious that they did not benefit of a high standard professional training like staff in 5 stars resorts in Bali do). Regarding the restaurant, there were a few items from the menu which were not available, since their oven was not working (like pizza, paratha bread, naan bread etc.). This should be fixed or the menu should be updated. Even so, there was plenty of choice for our 3 nights stay and the food was very good. We would also recommend a more varied music playlist for the pool (they seemed to repeat the same one every day and it can become repetitive for guests relaxing at the pool for more than one day). The beach is small and you can only swim at high tide. I write this only for information, I actually found it quite charming to be honest, it looked like a secret & secluded little piece of sand.
