While it’s a far from the city center, the location is beautiful and close to the Monasterio La Recoleta. The room was clean and well-maintained (everything was brand new).

− I’m not sure where to begin. While the place itself was ok, the owner’s attitude made us feel very unwelcome. First, she was disappointed that we didn’t have American dollars for payment, we only had bolivianos (we were travelling for one year and we live in Europe, so of course we did not have any dollars). When we arrived at our matrimonial room, we found only one towel, so we asked for another. She informed us that she only provided one towel per bed, even though we had a double bed. Later, she came by to ask what time we would check out because she wanted to inspect the room to ensure we hadn’t damaged anything, specifically her new mattress. She even mentioned that if we stained it, we would have to pay around 1,200 bolivianos—this was just after we arrived! The nights were quite cold in July, and she only provided us one blanket. Given her response about the towel, we ended up sleeping with our sleeping bags. During our stay, I had a health issue that required hospitalization. I have then contacted her to ask if the room was available one more day, and asked what would be the price for this extra day. For this question, she replied that “she could not lower her price even more” (I didn’t ask for a discount!), and she also seemed indifferent to my health. Finally, my boyfriend decided to leave and he paid to stay with me at the hospital. To make matters worse, at 6:30 AM, the owner knocked on the rooms’ door (we had informed her he’d check out at 7 AM) and then opened the door with her own keys, finding my boyfriend still asleep. It was only after she checked that we hadn’t damaged anything that she began to treat us more kindly. This was by far the worst place we stayed during our year of traveling around South America.
