10.0A wonderful stay in a comfortable, well-equipped cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside. The cosy fire, heating, and electric blankets made it warm and inviting, while the spacious layout was perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends. The peaceful setting offered plenty of opportunities for leisurely strolls and a real sense of seclusion. Just 15 minutes from Taralga, it was the ideal base for visiting the Taralga Art Show. A perfect place to unwind, enjoy good company, and escape the everyday. Our second visit and it won't be our last!

10.0The cottage is very roomy and has everything you need. The little things are what makes this place a perfect retreat; the horses at the side fence out the bedroom windows, the historical pictures hung around the house, the selection of books in the main bedroom, a first aid kit in the laundry, kitchen basics like oil, salt/pepper, clingwrap etc in the kitchen. And the inclusion of heaters in each room and electric blankets meant we were comfortable with an overnight arctic chill! The view from the deck is overlooking a gorgeous valley with no one else in site. Some have commented about the sheer blinds but this didn’t bother us as we were up early to enjoy the morning sun that comes in the front of the cottage over the deck. Hamish is a great host and was very easy to communicate with and provided really clear directions to the cottage.
A charming country cottage, in a beautiful, peaceful location.
9.0The property exuded peacefulness. The extensive windows throughout the cottage allowed you to enjoy the natural surrounding beauty. Visits from the beautiful horses were a welcome treat. The cottage and amenities were comfortable and well-maintained. We enjoyed using the fire and coffee machine. During our stay, we loved dining at Taralga Hotel, and visiting Wombeyan Caves, and Taralga Wildlife Park.
− Blinds on the bedroom window to block out the morning sun would have been helpful.
Best place to getaway from the crowd
9.0Loved the location and tranquility of the place.
− The house itself was not the easiest to find (because we reached at night time). However the hosts were super lovely and accommodating to answer calls at night and help us find the house.
