− I selected this property on booking.com due to the description of a three bedroom, 2 bathroom, entire house with full kitchen and 'pay at the property' as the method of payment. I was chased up for payment days prior to arrival as the host indicated after booking that this was their preference - otherwise access to the property might not be as smooth and our payment would then need to be made with cash on site. The kitchen didn't have a microwave so we were unable to reheat takeaway meals. The third bedroom was locked from our use. The air conditioning was switched off for the villa. There was heavy dust under the beds. There was not enough towel rails or hooks to hang up used towels after the shower. Only one bath towel was supplied for each guest for a 5 day period. No amount of laundry powder was complimentary so we had to purchase a 1kg box of powder to rewash the towels for our continued use. There were notes everywhere of "don'ts" - "you break, you replace at your cost or you will be charged" - which didn't feel welcoming when paying nearly $600per night for 2 bedrooms/3 guests.
