Beautiful stay away from the crowds
10.0Franco (and Toto 🐶) were excellent hosts. Shared local knowledge and helped us plan our route for the following day through rural Transylvania. France was extremely welcoming and we thoughtfully enjoyed sitting and sharing a drink and having a chat with him! The room was beautiful, the bed super comfy and such a wonderful setting in a rural village away from the crazy tourist scenes. We are only sad that we didn't have a second night to spend in Valchid Guest House.

Highly recommended for short, quiet retreats!
10.0We've been going on weekend getaways to Colinele Transilvaniei for almost ten years now and spent nights at lots of beautiful places, but Valchid Guest House just climbed to the #1 spot. Sure, the village is secluded and it has a certain charm, but it's not quite my favorite village in the area. However, the property itself has an amazing atmosphere, just beauty and simplicity. Oh, and Franco is also our favorite host so far, such an honest, funny and kind person, he really made us feel like home.
− I know that saying what I didn't like would really help the host to improve and would also help others in their decision to book a stay here, but from my point of view any criticism would be just nitpicking, so I'd rather just say keep up the good work!
