Good short stay in Newark that was walking distance to Gannets which has excellent breakfast

Good view and was in a quiet part of the town. Nice fixtures too

− Personal opinion, the mattress was too soft, so didn’t sleep well.

The location of the property was great as not too noisy as set back from the road. The facilities within the room were fantastic. Interior decorating and shower facilities fantastic and explanation of location and key entry brilliant

− When I arrived considering how hot it was the blinds had been left so the sun unfortunately had heated up the room. The fan provided wasn’t up to the job. I ended up opening the window as when I had turned the fan on the room temperature went up. Obviously the recent temperatures are unusual but I had no sleep due to room temperature

Great central location, good communication from the hosts and clean, well equipped room

− It felt very slightly like student accommodation, the beds weren’t very comfortable, the coat hangar holder was loose on the wall and there wasn’t much room for 2 people

Excellent location, spacious and comfortable apartment with fantastic communication from the host.

The location was fantastic right next to the lock and within easy walking distance of everything in Newark. The apartment was much more spacious than we expected for the price, with a very comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom, and a great shower. It was well equipped with plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits, storage space and everything we needed, making it feel more like a home than a hotel. The owner was also excellent with communication, replying quickly to any questions and providing clear instructions for parking, check-in and accessing the apartment.

− Very little to dislike. It doesn't offer breakfast, but that wasn't a major issue with cafés nearby. The building also seems quite new and still developing, so it may offer even more facilities in the future. If anything, the listing could make it a little clearer that the accommodation is more like a serviced apartment than a traditional hotel, although we actually preferred that and I may have missed it on the description of the stay.
