Excellent homestay. Spacious and quiet room with comfy beds and a good shower. The restaurant serves delicious dishes for a very good price. They organized the afternoon and morning tours to the park for a fair price. Marley was a.great guide and we were always the first to spot the animals. It is 3 min walking from the park entrance and 10 min walking from the beach. You can get there taking a grab from Manado and they help you with the taxi to go back for a right price.

We had a very nice stay at Tangkoko Family Homestay. We arrived in the evening and were welcomed by our host June who showed us very clean, nicely climatized rooms ( we were there with 5 people). The showers admittedly only have cool water but we enjoyed it as refreshing. Anyway, being too cold never was any problem during our visit in North Sulawesi with the exception of the night in the tent up on the top of mount Klabat. For Dinner we could choose from a variety of local dishes of which we tried several during our stay and which all were delicious. Breakfast was served with the choice of three dishes (Rice, Omlette or pancake), all of which also were enjoyable. Visiting Tangkoko Forest was really a great experience! The local guide was very dedicated and sharp-eyed and we saw all the expected animals and birds: Makaks, Tarsia, Kuskus, Hornbills, Kingfishers, insects and spiders (Tarantulas at night!). The lushness of the trees and plants was impressive. When our pre-arranged boat trip could not take place because of strong winds, our host June arranged a trip for us to Batu Angus, a small island which ist very sheltered. There we could snorkel and enjoy fresh coconuts and hanging out in the hammocks there. On the way home, June explained us the city if Bitung and provided us with fresh fruit and sweets directly from the market stalls to try, so we tried Duku, Mangostan and Martabak. Overall, in terms of heartwarm friendlyness, nicely clean and cool rooms, good food and great experiences, we highly recommend staying at Tangkoko Family Homestay and would certainly do so again, if we ever were to spend time close to Bitung again.

Bardzo miła obsługa, świetny kontakt przez Whatsapp , pomoc przed i w trakcie pobytu. Czysto, wygodnie, komfortowe łóżko, duża łazienka. Obok jest smaczne jedzenie w Warungu, lokalizacja bardzo blisko parku i 7 minut od sklepu. Bardzo miły przewodnik Marley ( dziękujemy za przekazane informacje, wskazanie tylu ciekawych mieszkańców parku i ułatwienie zrobienia zdjęć).

− Maleńki minus - hałas jeżdżących motorów - nie jest to wina gospodarzy, po prostu lokalizacja większości domów.

Perfect stay close to Tangkoko NP

June is a perfect host. The location was ideal. The food was delicious. Rooms were big. We had the basic rooms, that were comfortable enough.

− Nothing really. Maybe there could have been a closet or so to put your clothes in.
