7.0We liked the way every cupboard and drawer had a small sticker to indicate what was inside. It helped to quickly locate the kitchen stuff. Some basic ingredients for cooking were also in the fridge. The place was very comfortable to stay and we were able to cook with whatever we had carried with us. A 5 min walk took us to the water's edge where we could see surfer's having a good time. The place was clean and well maintained.
− This is a very tiny town. No visible human presence at the station. No bus or cab. So we had to trek from the station to the house, a distance of around 1.5 kms with our luggage.
An excellent way to experience how Japanese people in a rural area live.

10.0I highly recommend travellers to stay at this guest-house, especially if you want to experience Japanese country life. People in shimosato are friendly, and the owners were kind and answered questions in time. The house is kept clean, and has a very nice space for cooking.
