9.0Great location, just a two-minute walk from the beach. The villa is one of the oldest buildings in town, which gives it a very special atmosphere. It is decorated in a traditional Sicilian style, with beautiful antique furniture and original local floor tiles painted by hand. Everything you may need—cafés, restaurants, and supermarkets—is within walking distance. The owner was very welcoming and recommended several excellent places for lunch and dinner. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome with fruit and water. The host was very flexible regarding both check-in and check-out times. We really enjoyed our stay and the authentic character of the villa.
− There were quite a lot of mosquitoes. There was no hand soap or dishwashing liquid, which was particularly inconvenient as we checked in in the evening. The terrace furniture had no cushions, so it was not very comfortable to sit there. In one of the bathrooms, the bathtub had neither a shower curtain nor a wall-mounted shower holder, which made taking a shower very difficult and caused water to splash around the bathroom. There is no private parking. However, it is possible to park for free near the house if spaces are available, or to use paid parking nearby.
