A perfect home-from-home in Shkodër — 10/10
10.0Solaris was the perfect base for our trip to Valbona and Theth. We stayed both before and after heading into the mountains, and it could not have worked better for us as a family of four. The apartment was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed, including air conditioning, two bedrooms and a lovely little terrace. What really made it stand out were the thoughtful touches such as coffee, sugar and cooking oil. After travelling and hiking, it genuinely felt like a home from home. The location was excellent too. It was close enough to walk to the busy streets, but still felt peaceful and relaxing. The pick-up and drop-off points for trips to the mountains and onward travel to Montenegro were also within walking distance, which made everything much easier and saved us money on taxis. Most of all, Edita was wonderful. She was incredibly welcoming, flexible, helpful and accommodating throughout both of our stays. We are travelling through Albania and Montenegro as a family of four, and Solaris was probably the place where we felt most at home and most relaxed. I could not recommend it highly enough to families, hikers or anyone visiting Shkodër. A definite 10 out of 10.
