Beautifully renovated farm property
9.0This is a beautifully furnished and restored building on an old family farm. We had a lovely, warm welcome from Manus' mother who gave us some tips for the local area and helped make us feel welcome and at home. There was a mountain of fruit and supplies which was a lovely surprise and the house is gorgeously decorated, the lighting in the bedrooms is next level. The place was dead silent at night, we had breakfast outside with views overlooking olive trees and to the sea in the distance. There are restaurant options 10 mins away by car or Sougia is 15-20 mins by car too. Just be aware the roads are small and windy and not lit at night, it was fine for us, but just something to be mindful of if just arriving and not familiar with driving in Crete. Rodovani is also a historical area (Ancient Elyros in Roman times), which we only found out when we saw the Philosopher of Elyros statue in the Archaeological Museum of Chania. I don't know if there are ancient sites to explore locally but it was cool finding out this even after we'd stayed. All in all a great stay.
− This wasn't an issue for us, but the property is short walk (maybe 50m, 2 mins) from the road downhill (meaning uphill to come back). It's not an even surface, so if you have mobility issues or can't carry your luggage over uneven surfaces it's something to keep in mind.

10.0C’est un très joli appartement, extrêmement propre, très bien équipé. Nous étions installés très confortablement. La literie est de très bonne qualité. Tout est de bon goût. La terrasse est bien aussi. Nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de générosité. Nous avions tout ce qu’il fallait pour nos petits déjeuners, des fruits, du vin, … Le village est à 20 min de voiture de Sougia. La route est très belle et se fait tranquillement.
