− Very expensive in price if you compare what you get in return like very small space rooms, low quality wifi, our food request was also ignored. Not value for money.

Hervorragende Lodge am Fluss mit vielen tollen Eigenschaften.
10.0Wir waren schon 2025 hier und sind sehr gerne wiedergekommen. Diesmal bekamen wir ein Chalet mit direktem Flussblick, sehr großzügig und umfassend ausgestattet auch mit Kaffee- und Teezubehör. Die gesamte Anlage ist in wunderbar bepflanztem und gepflegtem Zustand, die Schäden aus der heftigen Frühjahrsüberflutung waren (bis auf die Fliesenarbeiten am Pool) schon beseitigt. Sehr positiv war das insgesamt freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, ganz ausgezeichnet die Verpflegung sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Dinner. Wir verlängerten spontan um eine Nacht, was wegen des insgesamt eher ruhigen Tourismus in diesem Jahr problemlos möglich war. Auch mit Blick auf das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis eine absolut empfehlenswerte Lodge.

10.0We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Shametu River Lodge! The lodge is located in a stunning setting overlooking the Okavango River, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We booked all of our activities in a single day, and the staff did an amazing job helping us plan everything. They carefully considered the best schedule and timing so we could make the most of our stay without feeling rushed. Their organization and attention to detail were excellent. A special thanks to Matthew, who was an outstanding guide during our game drive. Thanks to his knowledge, enthusiasm, and sharp eye, we saw an incredible variety of wildlife, including two lionesses with six cubs—an unforgettable experience! We also really enjoyed our fishing trip with John. Even though we didn’t catch any fish, he worked incredibly hard to give us the best possible experience and never stopped trying to find the perfect spots. Thanks to his dedication and great company, it turned into a memorable afternoon on the water. Finally, we’d like to thank all the other staff members as well. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. They truly made us feel at home. We highly recommend Shametu River Lodge to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Namibia. We would love to come back someday!
