Vi - en familie med børn på 12 og 8 år - boede i feriehuset i fem dage, og vi havde en fantastisk tid der. Genial pool, plads til leg og afslapning, hyggeligt hus og en glimrende beliggenhed i Uvita - tæt ved stranden, nationalparken og byen.

Ein echtes Highlight unserer Costa-Rica-Reise

Der 7-tägige Aufenthalt im Whale Melody Marabi war eines der absoluten Highlights unserer dreiwöchigen Costa-Rica-Reise. Keine andere Unterkunft haben wir so sehr genossen. Das lag zum einen am Pool, den wir morgens nach dem Aufwachen, abends vor dem Schlafengehen – und natürlich auch zwischendurch – genutzt haben. Er wird regelmäßig gereinigt und ist einfach herrlich. Zum anderen begeistert die Natur rund um das Haus: Tukane zum Greifen nah, die sich am Papayabaum auf dem Grundstück bedienen, zahlreiche Kolibris und viele Aras in der Umgebung – ein echtes Naturerlebnis. Das Ferienhäuschen ist großzügig geschnitten und bietet mit zwei Schlafzimmern sowie einer weiteren Schlafmöglichkeit im Wohnbereich viel Raum. Die Ausstattung lässt nichts vermissen, und alles funktioniert einwandfrei.

− Eigentlich gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Wer hier übermäßig kritisch ist, erwartet vermutlich eher ein 5-Sterne-Luxushotel. Für uns war diese Unterkunft gerade wegen ihres Charakters und ihrer Lage etwas ganz Besonderes – wir würden sie jederzeit wieder buchen.

An absolute fantastic stay - a must stay in Uvita

An absolutely fantastic villa. The photos on Booking.com really do not do this place justice — the villa is much larger than it appears online. You have everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the surrounding nature is simply stunning. Be prepared to wake up to howler monkeys and to see toucans and macaws flying overhead — it truly feels like being in the middle of a nature documentary. Despite it not being mentioned in the listing, the villa does have free WiFi and it’s excellent, which was a very pleasant surprise. The host, Gustavo, was very helpful and responsive. This place is a true gem and an absolute must if you are staying in Uvita.

− There isn’t much to complain about, but a few things prevent this from being a perfect score. First of all, having to pay the full stay in cash is quite inconvenient — it’s a large amount of money to travel with. On top of that, the host could not provide change when I didn’t have the exact amount, which really isn’t acceptable when insisting on cash payment. After some back and forth, it was eventually arranged that change would be provided. I was also unsure whether the pool had been cleaned after the previous guests, and I had to message and ask for it to be cleaned. Lastly, some basic practical information was missing at check-in, such as instructions regarding garbage disposal and how to obtain the keys to washing machine room.

Arrivée en autonomie dans cette sympathique villa. Grand jardin et belle terrasse abritée pour manger devant la piscine. Bonne situation au calme...

− ... sauf en ce moment où il y a des travaux sur le terrain juste derrière ! Dommage pour nous. Il manque vraiment beaucoup de vaisselle et des torchons auraient été appréciés pour essuyer la vaisselle.
