Our families and friends just finished our last school term, and after celebrating our birthdays, we were looking for a place for a big group getaway over the Victoria Day long weekend. I was about to give up, but we found this amazing cottage just an hour away from home, and it totally saved our plans! Our big group, including kids and adults, fit comfortably even though there were more than the listed 14 guests. The large living room upstairs was perfect for the kids to hang out, while the adults enjoyed the dining area and common spaces. My niece especially loved the big room with the jacuzzi—it was such a treat! The house is roomy and feels very homey, with plenty of space for fun activities and games. The kitchen was well-equipped except for a few missing spoons and forks, but that was a minor issue. The owner was super responsive and helpful, fixing a lighting problem quickly and even offering us a discount when we decided to extend our stay. The backyard was great for the kids to play, and the fire pit made for cozy evenings. Plus, having parking for five-six cars was a huge convenience.

− The basement is still unfinished, which limited some indoor space, and the fluctuating lights on the first night were a bit inconvenient. It would be great if there were more garbage bags provided. Also, having access to a private beach or lake nearby would be fantastic since the public beaches are about 15 minutes away. Lastly, the area is still developing, so it’s important to double-check the house number to avoid getting lost.
