Worth the Trip
10.0Holistic Hive Retreat House is an absolutely beautiful property. The owner Hazel reached out after we made the booking and provided information on the property including linking us with the caretaker Darlington who took care of us for the duration of our stay. As agreed we met Darlington in town who took us to the property and so the check-in process was so easy. Everything was in place, it was clean, immaculate and just absolutely beautiful. Darlington is a gem of a man, he did regular check-ins to ensure that we were comfortable and lacked nothing and he was always available to assist. Because of the location of the property, there is peace and quiet making it a perfect place to rest and relax. The outside of the house was also great -the vegetation, the swimming pool and the outside relaxing areas. The kitchen is well equipped and lacks nothing, there is an extensive availability of amenities as well as security. Internet connectivity is great, there is an availability of games and a TV for different programmes. Linens are well stocked and there are mosquito nets for the beds and everything is well thought out.
− The Property is located well out of town, about 25-30 minutes by car . You need to plan trips to various activities very well because going in and out, up and down would be exhausting, time consuming and expensive.
Lovely cottage for a family getaway but be prepared for the remote location
8.0The house is lovely and great for a family stay. Every electrical cooking appliance you can dream of is there so you can cook to your delight on the gas stove. WiFi is good and there's a few things to keep kids entertained. A generator is available for four hours per day if needed, the fridge full of beer, soft drinks and water is a nice touch.
− The location shown on the booking.com map is wildly inaccurate and misleading. The house is actually twenty minutes drive down a rough dirt road (-17.87478, 25.881698) making it impractical to pop into town spontaneously for supplies (self-catering) or a meal out. So your day has to be planned around the location so as not to waste time trekking back and forth.
