Peaceful beach stay with excellent customer service in an idyllic setting

Staff was friendly, attentive and approachable. Excellent customer service. Quiet beach was wonderful; very little foot traffic from anyone outside the resort. Meals were lovely; included dinners were delicious and the options for paid lunch were reasonably priced, fresh and very tasty.

− Breakfast was lovely -- eggs to order daily, African pancakes, fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt, etc. Usually at least one additional hot dish daily too, juice, coffee, tea. Having just come from some AMAZING hotel breakfast buffets where we generally ate our largest meal of the day, this felt just a touch more basic. Possibly adding some additional "salad" or cheese options would add a bit more bult for those who make breakfast the large meal. Not a complaint but a suggestion for the management: there seems to be some space on premises to add a very small open air gym which would be VERY much welcome by folks coming off long safaris with little option for exercise. Doesn't need to be elaborate -- maybe a stationary bike, some free weights, yoga mats, and possibly and elliptical machine would be FABULOUS. Willing to pay a few buck extra per day for that option. : )

A piece of paradise.

The location on the beach, the amazing bungalow with the view of the ocean. The beautiful gardens with unexpected treasures such as being visited by monkeys. It was right next door to a whale shark experience operation that I had booked a trip on. Beyond all this however what makes this property so special was the service provided by the staff. They we so welcoming and friendly, we felt at home straight away. The manager William (apologies if I spelt this wrong) knew the names of all the guests and over our 3 day stay we had many conversations. We were told the total occupancy was for 32 that made our short stay a big change for the hotel we were staying at in Zanzibar. The dining areas and bars felt very intimate and it was lovely and peaceful. My wife had a massage that she described as one of the best she has ever had accomanied by lapping waves from the ocean. The food was a set menu of several choices but the chef took time to go round the guests and ask if someone did not like the choices, alternative meals specially cooked would be provided. The meals were delicous. I needed to visit a doctors on a health issue and was shuttled to the surgery by the hotel team who helpfully arranged an appointment. The hotel has a water sports and dive centre attached to another hotel on the opposite side of Mafia. We did a sunset cruise from there and the sunset view was spectacular. Our greatest regret was having to leave the hotel after 3 days. We are already considering returning for a longer stay.

− Nothing, except there were no whale sharks which obviously had nothing to do with the hotel! Disappointed as I was in not seeing a whale shark, this was massively compensated by the wonderful memories of staying in this hotel.

Struttura molto curata, con un lodevole gusto anche nei piccoli dettagli, gestita ottimamente e con uno staff eccellente, sia a livellodi professionalitàchedi cordialità. Cibo di buon livello. Ottimo anche il catalogo di possibili attività. Manca la TV in camera, ma lo considero un pregio.

− Difficile trovare un difetto: sforzandomi, avrei apprezzato una maggiore diffusione del segnale wifi, che invece è limitato ad un'area piuttosto limitata.

Es war außergewöhnlich, wir kommen sicher wieder.

Das Restaurant mit bestem Personal, gutes Frühstück in Buffetform, immer Wasser und frischer Saft, Frenchpress Kaffee👍 Abendessen 3 Gänge außergewöhnlich! Der Manager (William) war immer präsent und hatte für alles ein offenes Ohr. Kajaks zur Erkundung der Nahen Mangroven kostenlos verfügbar. Die Walhaitouren mit der Tauchbasis des Hotels waren allein die Reise wert.

− Das Meer vor dem Hotel lädt nicht wirklich zu schwimmen ein, der Pool macht das aber locker wett. Internet nur im Rezeptionsbereich verfügbar. Die Umgebung und vor allem das Fischerdorf in der Nähe ist schon arg vermüllt.

Es ist ein sehr kleines und gemütliches Hotel. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und immer freundlich. Die Zimmer waren immer sauber und die Aktivitäten wurden vom Hotel vollständig geplant und perfekt ausgeführt. Die Hotelanlage insgesamt ist sehr sauber wunderschön angelegt. Ein besonderes Lob geht an die Küche. Das Essen war hervorragend und das Drei-Gänge-Menü jeden Abend war das Highlight!
