Perfect location, near to everything but still peaceful in the evening Roof terrace was lovely, unfortunately due to the heatwave we were unable to use it!

− Stairs in the property are not for the feint hearted!

The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring the area. Communication with the hosts was easy from start to finish, and they were always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Check-in was smooth, and overall we had a very pleasant stay.

− The only minor issues were that the bathroom was located downstairs, which meant quite a bit of going up and down throughout the stay. The property was also a little dusty in some areas, and there wasn’t quite enough toilet paper provided for three guests. Since the booking was made through Booking.com rather than Airbnb, our expectations our a bit higher. Other than these small points, we had a great stay and would happily recommend the property.

We absolutely loved our stay at Het Pakhuis Haarlem. The location was absolutely ideal, so central yet tucked away from all the hustle and bustle, very quiet and peaceful. 10 minutes from the station and 2 minutes from the main square. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved having the roof terrace, my husband loved watering the flowers up there in the evening! Everything was very very nice.

− It didn’t matter at all for us (apart from the slightly scary task of getting our huge suitcase up the stairs!) but the stairs up to the bedroom are steep and a little scary, and the stairs up to the terrace are even steeper and scarier! But you just have to be careful, we managed everything fine.

No bathroom on 2nd floor with bedroom but a great location and fun roof garden

Loved the private roof top garden and the location.

− There is no toilet on the 2nd floor where the bedroom is - only a shower and sink. You have to go down a steep, twisting staircase in the middle of the night to go the bathroom. This was the major surprise - that and the bed didn’t have blankets that covered the whole bed - it was a blanket for a twin bed, but on a double bed meant for two people. Also didn’t realize until the second day the thermostat for the entire apt was on the first floor as it was chilly the first night.

Very central & quite . Bed & sleeper couch were comfortable

− Towels are pretty basic . Would be better if there was a toilet upstairs & a sink in the bathroom downstairs but we knew that upfront .
