The house has great potential, but it needs better upkeep for a more comfortable stay.
5.0The location is amazing. The house has lots of space and kitchen appliances are very good.
− The house could be cleaner; there were lots of cobwebs, and the stove and oven were a bit greasy. It has great potential; however, it requires better upkeep. Additionally, the garden plants were overgrown, making parking the car difficult.
Disappointing but still enjoyable.
4.0The property is very spacious and a really good size for a family or group of people. The outside area is private and there is room for kids to ride their bikes or have a bbq. It’s a nice 5 min stroll to the beach and a few shops. Location was good for us. It’s a 7-10 min drive to Rye or Rosebud.
− The property is described as a luxurious holiday home with a hot tub, spa and fireplace and air conditioning. But there is no aircon only stand up fans and a ceiling fan in the kitchen which I couldn’t find the switch for. The heating was the same there were portable heaters (not that I needed as I travelled in summer) there is no spar or hot tub, and the Garden was well overgrown. The outdoor area was covered in bird poop dust and spiders and the floor covered I leaves and ants. The garage door was broken so we couldn’t get in to use the table tennis or bikes.I advised the host he did offer to come and fix it but I declined. The fireplace was covered with TV so can’t be used but advertised. The house had a musky smell which I’d say was the filthy carpets which looked like some built a motor on. Also every singe board game was broken. Once I aired the house a couple of days and bought an air freshener I kind of got used to the house.It has so much potential.
Overall it was a great stay, big enough home for a large family looking for a getaway.
