Do not stay here if you are a family or if you value cleanliness.
1.0− We booked this lodge as a family with two children, looking forward to a relaxing holiday outdoors. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. On arrival, we were shocked to discover that children are not welcome on site and must stay inside the cabin. This was not made clear at the time of booking (via Booking.com) and left us feeling like prisoners in our accommodation. When we raised this and asked to leave early with a refund, our request was ignored until after our stay had ended, only to be told we would not receive any refund. This not only cost us money but also wasted valuable family time. The cleanliness of the lodge was also unacceptable. We found a dirty high chair, a soiled nappy left in the bin, glasses with residue and lipstick marks, and grit and dirt in the hot tub. None of this is what you would expect from a so-called luxury lodge. On top of that, we were told we could not park our electric vehicle outside the cabin due to “fire risk,” which felt unreasonable, especially since it meant parking further away in the rain. We were also told we could not have more than two cars on site meaning we could not have guests, which added to the sense of restriction. Overall, this was the opposite of the relaxing, family-friendly holiday we had hoped for. Instead, it was stressful, restrictive, and poor value for money. I would not recommend this lodge to families or anyone expecting a genuine luxury experience.

10.0Great ambiance, we came to wind down and it worked really well, peacefully setting pleasant grounds well maintained. staff could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble

− That children weren't allowed in the bar/pizza patio at all, we would have used it more if they were. Maybe it could change to no children after a certain time.
