Lovely little cottage

8.0

Very cozy cottage, had everything we needed

Road noise, can't be helped though.

Mainly great 👍

Close to town, clean, well equipped kitchen

The metal bed frame, too near the door and hard to manenver. I hit my leg serveral times and left with many brusies. Another chair would been handy for sitting room area as there were 3 of us.

Horrible stay truly disappointing for the cost we paid.

3.0

The availability of a washer and dryer. The water pressure from the shower was strong enough.

1. Floor was very sticky. 2. All room doors could not close properly. 3. Staircase was squeaky. 4. All the beds were creaky and uncomfortable. 5. There were cobwebs all over the hanging racks. 6. The radiators were rusty. 7. Kitchen cabinets doors were falling apart. 8. TV signal was so bad we couldn’t watch most of the shows due to connectivity. 9. The pictures on the internet was truly deceiving and does not look like the actual site. 10. Overall, the place needs repair and an upgrade.

While the staff were helpful and the location was good, the condition of the property did not meet our expectations.

7.0

The property was in a great location, close to the centre of Shrewsbury. The bed in the double room was very comfortable. Had no issues with sleeping, and the kitchen was spacious!

Unfortunately, there were several issues during our stay. The property was not particularly clean when we arrived, with sticky floors and hairs left in the bathroom sink. The accommodation also did not look like the photos advertised, which was disappointing. We experienced a leak from the shower during our stay. However, the staff dealt with this very efficiently and had it repaired the same day while we were out, which was greatly appreciated. There was also an issue with ants in the property. We left a rubbish bag on the floor and returned a couple of hours later to find a large number of ants around it. This suggests there may be an entry point somewhere in the building that needs attention. The kitchen was lacking some basic equipment, although we were able to manage. As the building is older, some wear and tear is understandable, including cracks and marks on the walls. However, there was noticeable dampness in both bedrooms and parts of the living room, and the heaters were heavily marked. Overall, while there were some positive aspects to the stay, particularly the location and the responsiveness of the staff, the cleanliness, maintenance issues, and difference between the property and its advertised photos affected our experience.
