− There is no hot water in the kitchen,very very basic .Bed was uncomfortable.No where to park, corridor outside of apartment stunk of cannabis.Would not recommend this apartment.

− Maybe extra pillows Outside the apartment wasn’t very eye catching but we weren’t staying outside and that has nothing to do with the flat itself, so it didn’t bother us.

The hosts were communicative throughout, and understood my issues when I raised a complaint about my stay (based on the issues mentioned below). Check-in was easy.

− It's worth noting that this property is in a council apartment block. This is not mentioned in the description, but it makes a difference to the experience living there. Access, for example, is through a sketchy 1950s/60s stairwell with 'warning asbestos' stickers everywhere. The property has been decorated recently, and relatively nicely. But it has certain major problems. It's very dark inside, and there's a lot of noise from the other flats (including regular fights between neighbouring residents in the middle of the night, making it hard to get a full night's sleep). There's a problem with the sewage in the apartment complex - which I know other residents in the block are also experiencing. There is some kind of backwash in the plumbing so that overnight raw sewage from other parts of the block washes into the toilet. This is pretty unpleasant. The apartment is tidy, but not clean. I wiped a cloth on the floor when I arrived and it came back black. Walking around in bare feet means your feet also end up black with dust and grease. The bathroom is unhygienic - including limescale build up on multiple surfaces. I got a viral infection in my foot from washing in the bathtub, which is evidence of unsanitary conditions. The shower itself is pretty iffy - the hose has split so water sprays everywhere when the shower is turned on. And there is limited hot water in the flat, as other users have also noted - making it hard to wash plates or shave. The property could do with a very deep clean and further renovations to bring some spaces (especially bathroom and kitchen) up to an expected standard for professional rental. It's worth noting that the sitting room is nice and is already at that expected standard (though it overlooks the block garden so is often noisy and generally smells of marijuana). Given all these issues, I'm surprised by some of the high ratings the apartment has received from previous users.

Lovely place, very comfortable. Easy to check in and out. The apartment was a lovely size and had everything we needed. Lovely decor. I had plenty of pillows and blankets and heaters.

− The hot water wasn’t working. The shower did work and was hot, but there was no hot water coming from the taps.
