Beautiful surroundings, good value and enjoyable stay.
8.0My stay was for two nights. I had a single room which was a decent size. The room had a large television and good selection of tea & coffee. The shower, towels and toiletries provided were excellent. There was a good selection of food at breakfast.
− I stayed during hot weather. The room had a large fan which was great but the room was still hot. I had the window open but as it was over the kitchen, the smell of cooking filled the room. When the room was cleaned, the cleaner forgot to replenish the toilet rolls. Easily and quickly sorted out but it shouldn't happen. They also cleaned the bathroom mirror but it wasn't wiped thoroughly and sections of it were misty.

− The whole place is very run down and doesn't look like it had been cleaned for months! Filthy carpets, dirty paintwork, unclean toilets and generally in poor repair.
Beautiful setting, dissapointed with stay

− Room dated, issue with door lock. Curtains not fit for purpose. Lumpy uncomfortable pillows. Missing facilities had to ask at reception. Plug socket by bed didn't work. Door not locked when arriving back after room had been cleaned

8.0The booking and check in process was pretty straightforward. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The environment was serene and lovely, and it made for a perfect weekend away.

8.0Lovely grounds, excellent breakfast, breakfast waiter was literally running to keep on top of everyone's requests
− Cleaning staff seemed oblivious to having created multiple trip hazards in the corridor quite early (8.30). Set a tone of guests being a bit in the way.
Great location, very comfortable and staff were excellent
9.0The staff were really polite and friendly, the room was very comfortable, and the location was scenic and generally felt good value for money!
− Breakfast was spread around a couple of different rooms, and there was a lack of some items in each location (Apple juice in one of the drinks sections and butter missing from the toast station). Staff were excellent to replentish them though, once they were found and asked about it.
