− The website leads you to believe the water park is on site and included in the accommodations. We had four very disappointed kids because there was no water park. Everything else was fabulous.

Outstanding place if you can outlast the wait for your site/cottage/glamping tent.
5.0The location can’t be beat, it must be the reason people come here.
− The staff at check in were challenging to work with. Between snarky staff telling us we can’t check in yet to apologetic obviously exasperated staff telling us we still can’t check in (an hour past check in time and many units still not cleaned) it was hard for that first impression to be anything but a bad one.
Best stay I’ve had in Chincoteague in a very long time.
10.0The Waterview Rooftop Cottage was so clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. The Air Conditioning was cold and refreshing after being out in the heat. The screened porch is where I spent a lot of time when I wasn’t at the amazing pool! The Welcome Center store had everything. I even bought luncheon meats, rolls, snacks, drinks and baggies to put it all in for our day at the beach. They had live acoustic music at the pavilion overlooking the water. There’s a food truck with shaded seating in the center of the campgrounds. The rooftop deck has an amazing breeze and view of the water in all directions. This campground gave my whole Chincoteague experience a new vibe and I’ve been coming to this island for over 30 years. This place is it!!!
− The pool gets packed quick so if you want a chair you have to get there right at 10am when it opens or you are out of luck for the entire day. I think since this campground is doing so well, they may need to put in a second pool to accommodate all of the people.
I love coming to Chincoteague and staying at this place in the cottages!!!
10.0The pool was nice. The rooftop decks on the cottages are a plus!
− Not much to complain about. This is our second time coming here so nothing to complain about. Maybe some hooks or drawers in the smaller bedroom in cottages but that’s just minor things.
