This treasure of accommodation in central Trowbridge is situated in a road island. Once entered, it is full of trees and you immediately feel you are in a remote countryside. 😂 A real surprise. The studio is a walk through a gravel arch walked garden with solar lights. Feels surreal. Beautiful kept garden too.

Very nice apartment, spotlessly clean and everything within it is high end. Lovely little touches like a basket of fresh fruit (which made a lovely fruit salad I chose to eat al fresco the next morning). The host has clearly gone out of her way to make it as nice a stay for guests as possible. Yes, the property is on a roundabout and that may be something of a drawback for some but wasn't for me. Host also sent a very helpful, informative welcome email, which was appreciated.

− It's a really minor gripe, but an email query & text I sent did not get a response. I know I could have rung the host if I really needed to, but I'm somewhat deaf and phone calls are a bit more difficult for me so I tend to rely on texts and emails. Again, it's a minor thing and it didn't affect my stay, just a tiny complaint.

In spite of the warnings in the welcoming email, I found it easily - not many place are in the middle of a roundabout. WiFi worked well. washer/drier worked well, Most kitchen supplies were good. The best part of all was that there was a dove's nest just outside the bedroom wndow, and they hatched while we were there. I have read about adult birds feding their young by regurgitating, but this was the first time I saw it In Real Life. It is within easy walking dstance of the old part of town, including the church, the site of the original castle, the town park, and a variety of shops. There is a nice long bath, though it is a bit narrow

− The location in the middle of the rounadbout was a bit noisy. The apartment appears to be converted from an outbuilding (maybe a stable) of the main Longfield house. As a result, there was one place I had to duck to avoid hitting my head (upstairs, getting to the bed) and 2 more places my husband (taller than me) had to duck - at the top of the stairs, and getting to the bathtub. I would have liked a slightly larger table, and some kitchen roll.
