Good location but wouldn’t stay with Mercure again.
3.0The location
− I was initially quite impressed when staying at the Mercure that I was sent a message in the lead up offering complimentary robes, slippers and other appliances. They also messaged about a birthday or romantic add on package. As it was my fiancé’s birthday I chose the birthday package. On arrival, to my disappointment, it was not organised. I messaged reception and they said it hadn’t actually been added to my reservation… even though I had already said to charge it. Additionally, they didn’t organise the complimentary robes and slippers. I messaged them about this and they put them in the room the next day. I will likely never stay at the Mercure again. For the money to stay there, those little things that you would pay extra for and are OFFERED don’t even end up being organised. I’m not sure why these things are offered and then have no follow through. The set up is also super noisy. You can hear all the cleaning, and multiple guests the whole morning and night. I’ve had trickling taps with stronger water pressure than the shower. If you’re thinking about booking the Mercure for a nicer stay and something special, don’t.
