Not luxury, not worth the price.
3.0The location
− The resort is positioning itself as a luxury hotel, however, it appears that the current management/service team doesn’t know how to run luxury hotels. The service is sporadic. It would be ok if not for the price they are charging. So either adjust the price or bring up the service standard.

5.0Lage ist toll, Lobby und Strand sind wunderschön, Essen ist gut
− Leider gab es während unseres Aufenthalts mehrere Mängel. Der Zimmerservice erschien in den ersten zwei Tagen gar nicht und danach erst nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage – gegen 16 Uhr. Das WLAN im Zimmer ist sehr schwach, worauf nirgends hingewiesen wird; lediglich in der Lobby ist der Empfang einwandfrei. Die Fenster im Zimmer ließen sich bei Anreise nicht schließen. Ein Handwerker behob das zwar, allerdings erst nach einer Stunde Wartezeit – um 20:30 Uhr abends. Bei der Abreise wurden uns Steuern und Resortgebühr erneut berechnet, obwohl diese bereits bei der Buchung bezahlt waren. Erst auf Nachfrage wurde der Fehler eingeräumt; die Rückerstattung soll in der kommenden Woche erfolgen.

9.0Very kind staff who went out of their way to provide me with the best room possible for me. Front desk went out of their way to ensure that I had a great stay and this was greatly appreciated and the reason that I will always make this my go to hotel in the OBX. Incredibly kind beach staff as well who were so very helpful to getting set up! Really a beautiful stay and made all the more wonderful by the great and kind staff.
Overall our experience was wonderful.

The pools are NOT heated, in April that means pool water is frigid.
8.0− Only one restaurant was open for service in mid April. The food and the service there were great, but the lack of options was frustrating. Even the pool side service area was closed during our stay.
